STEP 1
THE CONSULTATION
Your Therapist will consult with you on your beauty goals, skin type, skin health history and skin care routine. We will also discuss the facial procedure with you.
STEP 2
DOUBLE CLEANSE
We will cleanse your skin twice to achieve a deep and thorough cleaning of dead skin cells and toxins. This also preps the skin for the facial.
STEP 3
EXFOLIATION
Exfoliation is a further deep cleaning of deeper layers of your skin using a soft, yet abrasive product to clear away the remaining dead skin cells and dirt still remaining after the cleanse. (With deep cleanse facials a chemical exfoliant will be used in place of the abrasive exfoliant)
STEP 4
HOT TOWEL
A hot towel will be applied over the face to help open pores. By opening the pores, products will penetrate better, black head, spot and extraction removal is easier, and it gives your skin a chance to breathe easier.
STEP 5
EXTRACTIONS & FACIAL MASSAGE
Gentle extraction of black and spots, followed by a deeply relaxing facial massage. Facial massage is important for collagen production, lymphatic drainage and anti-aging.
STEP 6
FACIAL MASK
A bespoke facial mask will be applied to target your individual needs and skin type.
STEP 7
TONE & MOISTURISE
After the facial mask we apply toner to remove mask residue and to close the pores. After toner, we moisturise to hydrate and finalise the facial.

FAQS
Why should men get facials?
Men’s facials offer numerous benefits, including deep cleansing, exfoliation, and hydration. They help improve skin texture, reduce breakouts, and promote a healthier, more youthful complexion.
Can I get facials while undergoing or after Roaccutane (Isotretinoin) treatment, and if so, when?
While undergoing Roaccutane treatment, we advise against facials due to potential adverse effects on the skin. After discontinuing Roaccutane, we recommend waiting at least six months before scheduling facial services at Man-Lab. This waiting period allows your skin to fully recover and stabilize post-treatment.
How often should men get facials?
The frequency of facials depends on individual skin needs. For maintenance, a facial every 4-6 weeks is common, but your therapist can provide personalized recommendations during the treatment.
Do facials help with shaving-related issues?
Absolutely. Facials can address shaving-related concerns like razor burns, ingrown hairs, and uneven skin tone. Regular facials can enhance skin health and create a smoother shaving experience.
Can I have a deep cleanse or facial including chemical exfoliation with AHA/BHA while taking Roaccutane?
No, it is not recommended to undergo a deep cleanse facial. As these will normally involve chemical exfoliation (AHA/BHA). Roaccutane can increase skin sensitivity and the risk of adverse reactions. Please inform your therapist about your Roaccutane use.
Are facials suitable for all skin types?
Yes, facials can be customised for various skin types, including oily, dry, sensitive, and combination skin. Your therapist will tailor the treatment to address your specific concerns.
Will a facial make my skin more sensitive?
Initially, you may experience mild sensitivity, but this is temporary.
Can facials help with anti-aging?
Absolutely. Man-Lab facials can include anti-aging components like exfoliation, collagen stimulation, and antioxidant infusion, promoting a more youthful appearance and helping to reduce the signs of aging. ( we recommend the LED facial)
Are facials only for relaxation, or do they have tangible benefits?
While facials offer a relaxing experience, they also provide tangible benefits. Deep cleansing, exfoliation, and targeted treatments can address specific skin concerns, leading to a healthier and more vibrant complexion.
Will a facial help with acne?
Yes, facials can be beneficial for acne-prone skin. They often include deep cleansing, extraction of impurities, and anti-inflammatory treatments to reduce breakouts and promote clearer skin.
Is there any downtime after a facial?
Generally, there’s minimal downtime after a facial. Some individuals may experience mild redness or sensitivity, but it typically subsides within a few hours.
Can men with beards get facials?
Absolutely. Your therapist can tailor facials for men with beards, focusing on areas around the beard to provide deep cleansing, hydration, and overall skin improvement.
