The LAB Everyman Peel is a chemical peel that utilizes a 40% concentration of glycolic acid. Glycolic acid is a type of alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) derived from sugarcane. It is known for its exfoliating properties and is commonly used in various skincare products and professional treatments.
Itis designed to provide a mild to moderate exfoliation of the skin. It helps to remove dead skin cells, unclogs pores, and promote cellular turnover, resulting in smoother, brighter, and more even-toned skin.
Glycolic acid works by breaking down the bonds between skin cells, allowing for their gentle removal and revealing the fresher layer of skin underneath. It can help improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, and uneven skin texture.
The concentration and application time may vary depending on individual skin sensitivity and desired results. It is also crucial to protect the skin with sunscreen after using glycolic acid, as it can increase the skin’s sensitivity to the sun.
Suitable for all skin types.

AFTER TREATMENT:
Avoid sun exposure: After the treatment, your skin may be more sensitive to sunlight. It is crucial to protect your skin by avoiding direct sun exposure and wearing a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a high SPF (30 or higher) every day, even on cloudy days. Reapply sunscreen as needed.
Limit exposure to heat: Avoid excessive heat, such as hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, or intense workouts immediately following the treatment. Heat can further sensitize the skin and potentially cause irritation.
Do not pick or exfoliate: Allow the skin to naturally shed the dead cells without picking or exfoliating the treated area. Picking or scratching can lead to irritation, redness, and even scarring.
Moisturize: Keep your skin well-hydrated by using a gentle, non-irritating moisturizer. Look for products that are suitable for your skin type and do not contain potentially irritating ingredients.
Avoid harsh or abrasive products: For a few days after the treatment, avoid using products that contain strong active ingredients, such as retinoids, benzoyl peroxide, or exfoliating scrubs. These can potentially cause further irritation or sensitivity.
Be gentle with your skin: Treat your skin with care during the healing process. Avoid rubbing, scrubbing, or using harsh cleansers on the treated area. Instead, use a mild, gentle cleanser to cleanse your skin.
Follow post-treatment instructions: It is important to follow these instructions diligently for the best results.
